Braving the shave

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Jodie Dixon Reporter jodie.dixon@isistcnews.com.au

I AM now counting down the sleeps until I shave my head for a cure.

Let me just say, I am very nervous. My family is looking forward to laughing at my hairless head and I have promised to send photos.

I have received a great amount of support and I thank you all for sponsoring me.

I will be in Childers on Sunday from 1pm at the Isis RSL. Feel free to pop on down and enjoy the fun and games. I am putting my hair on the line for charity and encourage others to join in.

For the opportunity to shave my head, make a donation of $100 or more. I have Kevin, my piggy bank, to collect your donation and he is on the desk of Town and Country. For every donation of $2 you can ask for a receipt as your donation is tax deductible.

It’s a great cause and I hope more people sign up.

I want to congratulate Heather Parry on her achievements. For the past 50 years she has been serving the community as a JP. Can you imagine how many times she has signed and stamped legal documents?

We need more people in the world just like you, Heather.

This Saturday night the Down Under Spirit Team will be in Childers to set up investigations into the supernatural activity around the town. Do you believe in ghosts?

Friday morning Charts will host this year’s International Women’s Day breakfast. The community is encouraged to take part.

For further information contact the gallery directly. Let us know at Town and Country your story, and all of your coming events.

It’s a great cause and I hope more people sign up.
