Cancer caring

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

ONE person is diagnosed with cancer every 20 minutes in Queensland. All of us know someone who is affected. If you’d like to show you care, please consider supporting Cancer Council Queensland’s work by registering in this year’s Relay For Life. Relay For Life brings Queenslanders together in the fight against cancer. Last year around 23,000 people took part, raising more than $3.5 million statewide – money which goes directly back to supporting Queenslanders. With renewed community support in 2016, we hope to raise more funds to help more people. Relay is the largest event of its kind in Queensland, with 42 Relays scheduled between April and November this year. This is your chance to show you care and take a strong stand against cancer – celebrate with those who have beaten it, remember loved ones lost to the disease, and fight back for a brighter future. This year we hope even more people will take up the Relay baton. Together, we can make a difference. For more information or to find a Relay For Life near you, visit or give us a phone call on 1300 656 585. Professor Jeff Dunn AO Cancer Council Queensland CEO
