ON SUN­DAY in the Men’s Open, the Mary­bor­ough team won the Isis Cup with 314 gross, re­peat­ing their win when the Cup was orig­i­nally do­nated by found­ing fa­thers 80 years ago. Isis won the nett event for the Isis Cen­tral Mill Shield with a to­tal of 283. In in­di­vid­ual gross events the A Grade was won by T. Hall on 72 from P. John­son on 73. J. Shield won the B Grade on 81 from G. Love­day on 83, while M. Barnes won C Grade with 85 from R. Ni­col on 86. In nett events, C. Reynolds with 66 won A Grade from P. Rogers on 67; A. Gees with 70 won B Grade on a count­back from W. Chalmers; while K. Den­ham scored 66 to win C Grade from B Blinco on 68. Norm Plath with 70 won the Mary Sut­ton Me­mo­rial tro­phy for Vets with 70 nett. On 1&10 the pin­shots went to J. Knight (A), G. Kraatz (B) and N. Gibbs (C). On 4&13 they were won by D. Haber­mann (A) and P. Smith (B), while on num­ber 6, the pin­shots were won by M. Mur­nane (A), B. Brand (B) and B. Din­gle (C). Mem­bers and vis­i­tors ex­pressed their ap­pre­ci­a­tion for the well-pre­pared course and to the lady mem­bers who pro­vided the tasty meals and sand­wiches. An­other suc­cess­ful day for the club. This Satur­day and Mon­day we have our BBBs, with hit-offs at 12.30pm. A new ven­ture be­gins on Satur­day, April 9, with the in­tro­duc­tion of a Happy Hour to be­gin af­ter tro­phy pre­sen­ta­tions and lead into a Curry night pre­pared by res­i­dent chef, Michael Stan­ton.
