Childers Festival is looking for performers
THE Childers Festival is drawing closer and once again all eyes will be on the small town, set for the last weekend in July.
The sights, sounds and smells from around the world pervade the streets of Childers for the Childers Festival and your help is needed to make it happen.
A Bundaberg Regional Council spokesperson said expressions of interest for stallholders and performers were now open.
The festival draws in families from across the region for the food and entertainment.
“The Childers Festival is an exciting opportunity to put your products or talents on display at one of Queensland’s biggest annual events,” the spokesperson said.
“Festival attendance swells to about 40,000 people each year making this a promotional opportunity not to be missed.”
The special event each year grows larger with more stalls eager to book a site. The spokesperson said all applications were welcome.
“We’re looking for market stalls, food vendors, street performers, musicians, roving entertainers and everything in between.
“If you think you have something special to bring to this year’s Childers Festival make sure you lodge an expression of interest form before the closing date of March 31.”
Expression of interest forms and more information about the festival can be found at childersfestival.com.au.
It’s a great weekend for the entire family.
This year’s Childers Festival will be held from Friday, July 29, to Sunday, July 31, and has been made possible thanks to funding from Tourism and Events Queensland.
