Miss Show­girl quest for girls

YOUNG women are en­cour­aged to en­ter this year’s Gin Gin Miss Show­girl and Fundraiser Com­pe­ti­tion.

The Miss Show­girl Awards seek young ladies who live or have an in­volve­ment in the lo­cal area to rep­re­sent the show move­ment for 12 months.

The role is to en­cour­age and pro­mote the agri­cul­tural show move­ment to youth.

Be­ing a Show­girl in­volves be­ing in the pub­lic eye and pro­mot­ing the show.

The Show­girl com­pe­ti­tion is judged on per­son­al­ity, knowl­edge of the Gin Gin re­gion and abil­ity to rep­re­sent and pro­mote the agri­cul­tural show move­ment.

The duty of the Gin Gin Ru­ral Am­bas­sador is to high­light the im­por­tance of young peo­ple in ru­ral and re­gional Queens­land, in par­tic­u­lar those as­so­ci­ated with the agri­cul­tural show move­ment.

The award iden­ti­fies peo­ple with a sound knowl­edge of cur­rent ru­ral is­sues af­fect­ing their lo­cal ar­eas, Queens­land and Aus­tralia and have a strong af­fil­i­a­tion with agri­cul­ture. Ap­pli­ca­tions close April 1.
