Miss Showgirl quest for girls
YOUNG women are encouraged to enter this year’s Gin Gin Miss Showgirl and Fundraiser Competition.
The Miss Showgirl Awards seek young ladies who live or have an involvement in the local area to represent the show movement for 12 months.
The role is to encourage and promote the agricultural show movement to youth.
Being a Showgirl involves being in the public eye and promoting the show.
The Showgirl competition is judged on personality, knowledge of the Gin Gin region and ability to represent and promote the agricultural show movement.
The duty of the Gin Gin Rural Ambassador is to highlight the importance of young people in rural and regional Queensland, in particular those associated with the agricultural show movement.
The award identifies people with a sound knowledge of current rural issues affecting their local areas, Queensland and Australia and have a strong affiliation with agriculture. Applications close April 1.
2015 WINNERS: Gin Gin Show Rural Ambassador Byron Bruggemann and Miss Showgirl Theresa Williams.
