Holiday fun to wind up

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Jodie Dixon Reporter jodie.dixon@isistc

IT HAS been a mostly great week around the region.

The weather is cooling down and the school holidays are coming to an end. I hope all the school kids have had a great time.

Town and Country would like to see your holiday photos. Let us know where you went and what you did.

I went to a talent show last Saturday night and I was impressed. Our region has many young artists and I must admit I was a little jealous of their vocal skills.

Sadly, this week we have had a motorcycle accident, resulting in the death of a rider who had attended an event in Childers and was on his way home.

My condolences to the family and friends of Mr Fitzsimons, it’s a reminder to travel safe this weekend as the holidays wind down.

This Saturday night, the Gin Gin Multicultural Group will be hosting a Harmony Day feast. The organisers are encouraging everyone to join in and bring a plate of food to share.

I am looking forward to expanding my waistline in the name of journalism.

Thanks for all the contributions this week and for letting Town and Country know when you have events coming up.

Congratulations to the Grand Hotel for having the coldest beer in town.
