Personal trainer achieves goal
WITH a combined total weight loss of 116.5kg, the Got Active members have made themselves and their trainer proud of their achievements.
All members of the fierce team of five had their own goals when first walking through the doors of the gym.
The journey started two years ago with boot camp.
Boot camp left many battered and bruised and nursing strains for days.
The hilarious bunch of women bragged and made their trainer Bree Hargreaves blush as they all thanked her for keeping them on track.
Setting up for the photo, the ladies all agreed they hated getting their photo taken, but now, after all the sweat and tears, the powerful bunch wants to encourage others to get motivated.
“The trainers are great. I got the one-on-one personal training to keep me on course and encouragement from others,” member Anne Dwyer said.
Personal trainer Ms Hargreaves said they had all worked extremely hard, and for many it was a challenge for them to break out of their comfort zones.
Karyn Wastie said the gym could be intimidating with all the bulky machines, and a female trainer made all the difference.
“I struggled at the start. I was unfit and didn’t want to come back. The support they gave kept me going,” Mrs Wastie said.
Obesity has become a growing concern in regional areas, and trainers like Ms Hargreaves have witnessed first hand the life changes her team of fit women have made over the past two years.
“It’s about providing the right support for each person, to give them the confidence to succeed,”
