Childers art space sup­port­ing lo­cal art and tal­ented artists

JOIN Gal­leries Pub­lic Pro­grams Of­fi­cer Rebecca MacLean on the Cen­tre­fold Bus Trip and Stu­dio Tour on Wed­nes­day, April 20.

The bus tour will take par­tic­i­pants to view the exhibition Cen­tre­fold at CHARTS, fol­lowed by an artist’s floor talk and com­pli­men­tary morn­ing tea on the bal­cony.

This will be fol­lowed by a tour of Alice McLaugh­lin’s stu­dio at Ap­ple Tree Creek.

There are still a few more days to visit the Gin Gin Re­gional Court­house Gallery to view the exhibition by artist Bar­bara Han­cock.

Bar­bara is a pas­sion­ate and ex­pe­ri­enced artist who has spent many years ex­hibit­ing her acrylic on can­vas art­work.

Her art­work is in­spired by her sur­round­ings and life events.

This is Bar­bara’s first solo exhibition af­ter over 25 suc­cess­ful ex­hi­bi­tions with The Six Artists from Out of Nowhere.

The six artists have now dis­banded af­ter 10 years of ex­hibit­ing at gal­leries from Bris­bane to Lon­greach.

Childers felt artist Glen Soper will be run­ning a Wet Felt­ing work­shop at her home in Redridge on April 21 from 9am to 1.30pm.
