Children go back to class

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Jodie Dixon jodie.dixon@isistc

I HOPE everyone is settling back into school routines now the term has kicked off.

I hope all the students have a great second term and Town and Country looks forward to reporting on exciting events at the school.

Our councillors have now been officially sworn in and congratulations to Division Two councillor Bill Trevor, our new deputy mayor.

Only time will tell how our new councillors manage our region’s issues and make the most of new opportunities and development. Best of luck to all of them. Last weekend I went to the Gin Gin Multicultural Society’s Harmony Day feast. It was a great turnout by the community and the entertainment was brilliant.

It’s great news for the Isis Devils Women’s team they have a full team thanks to all the efforts of Jess Neil. Well done ladies and all the best for the season.

The QCWA cookbook will be in the Town and Country office from next week, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Let us at Town and Country know your coming events – and remember our office will be closed this Friday and Monday.

Have a great week Childers and watch out for roadworks.
