Cookie will be forever in my heart and soul
SAD news spread across the region on March 20 following the death of Mike “Cookie” Cook.
Chris Cook thanked the community of for its support, and the cards, flowers, meals and kind words she’s received.
For the past several weeks, it has been a struggle as Chris and her two children, Wayne and Amanda, come to terms with the death of a great husband and loving father.
“I want to thank everyone for all their support given to Wayne, Amanda and I. We are all very grateful,” Mrs Cook said.
“I was unaware of how much love everyone had for Cookie.
“Thank you to everyone that turned out for his celebration of life.
“I was surprised to see so many people.
“It has been a struggle for us with Cookie’s passing, but I know he is in a great place.
“He was the love of my life and he will be in our hearts and minds forever.”
Mrs Cook said she missed her husband and some days were hard.
“Cookie will be with me forever and I can’t thank everyone enough for all the generous support.
“I don’t know how to thank everyone – it’s overwhelming, the kindness of others,” she said.
“I love you all and I hope his memory lives on and he is in the hearts of the community.
“I miss him every day.”
