SUNDAY morning had 19 golfers show up to the threat of rain. Luckily to everyone’s surprise, the rain held off and a great game of golf was to be had. The winner for the day on a count back with a score of 63 was Leigh Hart, who lost 3.3 from his handicap. Second position who also came in with a 63 was Dominic Mete who lost 2.8 from his handicap with 3rd place going to Chris Fitzsimons with a score of 64 losing 1.7 from his handicap. Least putts on the day went to Len Stallard and Ray Burrows who both managed 27 putts. A-grade nearest the pin on the 1/10th hole was Nigel Ison whilst the B-grade approach on the 1/10th went to Paul McCarragher who also took out the Centre fairway shot. The combined longest drive was won by Terry Smallman. The Combined nearest the pin on the 6th hole and also the 4/13th hole was Scot Lucas, who is now the current holder of the golden circle at 4.4m. The Men’s approach on the 15th hole was won by Al Ball. Andrew Wright is a new member today so a big welcome is handed out to him. Next week we will be playing Four Ball Best Ball. If you don’t know the rules it will be explained on the day. Players will be segregated into teams and you can pick partners from there. Breakfast will start at roughly 7.30am while tee off will be at 8am, and as always, new members and visitors are welcome.
