SUN­DAY morn­ing had 19 golfers show up to the threat of rain. Luck­ily to ev­ery­one’s sur­prise, the rain held off and a great game of golf was to be had. The win­ner for the day on a count back with a score of 63 was Leigh Hart, who lost 3.3 from his hand­i­cap. Sec­ond po­si­tion who also came in with a 63 was Do­minic Mete who lost 2.8 from his hand­i­cap with 3rd place go­ing to Chris Fitzsi­mons with a score of 64 los­ing 1.7 from his hand­i­cap. Least putts on the day went to Len Stal­lard and Ray Bur­rows who both man­aged 27 putts. A-grade near­est the pin on the 1/10th hole was Nigel Ison whilst the B-grade ap­proach on the 1/10th went to Paul McCar­ragher who also took out the Cen­tre fair­way shot. The com­bined long­est drive was won by Terry Small­man. The Com­bined near­est the pin on the 6th hole and also the 4/13th hole was Scot Lu­cas, who is now the cur­rent holder of the golden cir­cle at 4.4m. The Men’s ap­proach on the 15th hole was won by Al Ball. An­drew Wright is a new mem­ber to­day so a big wel­come is handed out to him. Next week we will be play­ing Four Ball Best Ball. If you don’t know the rules it will be ex­plained on the day. Play­ers will be seg­re­gated into teams and you can pick part­ners from there. Break­fast will start at roughly 7.30am while tee off will be at 8am, and as al­ways, new mem­bers and vis­i­tors are wel­come.
