A WEEK af­ter Childers Show, Gin Gin is set to cel­e­brate it’s 107 An­nual Show

This year, the event will be held on May 28-29 at the Gin Gin Show­grounds start­ing at 7.30am with the ring events.

Event or­gan­is­ers are ex­cited this year will have more thrills.

Gin Gin Show me­dia of­fi­cer Wendi Guy said there will be Laser Skir­mish.

“On dis­play and for the en­tire fam­ily Viv’s Farm­yard an­i­mals, Blue Gum Farm fun for the kids and First Light En­ter­tain­ment stilt walk­ers,” Mrs Guy said.

“Horses, dogs, cat­tle and the ‘Farm­ers Chal­lenge’

Lo­cals are en­cour­aged to get a team of four peo­ple, and take up the chal­lenge, if you think you’ve got what it takes.

“It will be some­thing to re­mem­ber for a long­time, fun and fast paced farm­ing chal­lenges sure to bring out your com­pet­i­tive side,” Mrs Guy said.

Stick around as the sun goes down, fire­works are set to light up the night sky and live en­ter­tain­ment by Cross­roads on Satur­day night plus on Sun­day don’t miss the wood chop­ping, poul­try and the State Ute Muster com­pe­ti­tion.

If you own a ute then this is the com­pe­ti­tion for you.

The pavil­ion will be packed with lots to see items in­clud­ing home man­u­fac­tur­ing, pre­serves, fancy work, scrap­book­ing, photography, craft, fine arts, plants and flow­ers, flo­ral art, quilts, school/kindy and CWA dis­plays and lots more.

They will also host the fi­nals for the Ju­nior Han­dlers and judges for the Bur­nett Re­gion­als. This will be judged on the Sun­day.
