A REPORT from Queensland’s Rural Debt and Drought Taskforce says a royal commission is needed to look in the lending practices of banks. A royal commission is definitely required as it can be more investigative in their search and can hold banks to account for their actions. Our Hinkler member Keith Pitt declined to commit to any recommendations from the report however, did say that what the LNP have is a commitment by “almost” all the major banks to have another look at their banking practices. This is like asking Dracula to look after the blood bank! Mr Pitt also suggested an investigation in to lending practices could be incorporated into the banking royal commission pledged by the Federal Labor Party should it win the upcoming election. There you go, people of Hinkler. If you want a royal commission into banks Vote Labor. I have met with Mr Pitt and he has yet to show me any mettle. I sat down and asked him where he stood on National and Local issues leading up to the election. He refused to commit on anything. All he did was repeat the party line. In short a Yes Man. I challenge Mr Pitt to respond to the issues that matter and to the answer the hard questions. The questions people deserve an answer to, and not just “decline to commit” I ask you now Mr Pitt. What exactly do you stand for, in relation to?
A royal commission into the money lenders. The Backpackers tax The privatisation of Medicare Penalty rates Gonski full recommendations for education reform.
$100,000 degrees and same sex marriage? These are all issues that affect all of the people of Hinkler in one way or another I know where I stand Mr Pitt but where do you? I will debate you on these matters any day of the week.
