Childers Show fever

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Jodie Dixon Reporter jodie.dixon@isistcnews.com.au

WITH only two more sleeps until the Childers Show the town is a buzz with excitement as we are all set to celebrate 100 years.

It would be great to get some feedback after the show this weekend.

Next week Town and Country will have a big spread of all the Show action.

It will be a busy weekend for me. I will also be making an appearance at the Gin Gin Show Ball on Saturday night.

I wish all the entrants in this year’s Miss Childers and Miss Gin Gin Showgirls quests the best.

Congratulations to Vader-Ann Wegner for all her efforts in organising and arranging the event, you should be very proud.

Coming up is the CWA Biggest morning tea on May 26.

The ladies of the CWA would like to invite the region to join them for a great morning.

If you are in Woodgate, there will be a biggest morning tea at Woodgate Bowls Club on May 26 from 9am.

Woodgate residents are invited to attend and it promises to be a great event.

The biggest morning tea reminds me that next week I am heading into Bundaberg for my second breast screen.

Let’s get personal: how many of you have never had a mammogram? Be honest!

I am encouraging all the ladies to contact Breast Screen Queensland, I am nervous but I know, my boobs will be in safe hands.

Just don’t tell my husband.

I hope to see you all at the Show this weekend. Happy Show Day Childers.

... I know, my boobs will be in safe hands
