CANON Ocea­nia has an­nounced its 2016 en­vi­ron­men­tal grants pro­gram is now open for not-for-profit or­gan­i­sa­tions and lo­cal schools that are pas­sion­ate about the en­vi­ron­ment. Canon is of­fer­ing five grants of $5000 in Canon equip­ment to those who are work­ing on a sus­tain­abil­ity pro­ject or ini­tia­tive. Win­ners are se­lected based on the pos­i­tive im­pact their pro­ject is hav­ing on the en­vi­ron­ment – sought across a num­ber of cat­e­gories, in­clud­ing; com­mu­nity and schools. Canon is in search of great ideas that are mak­ing a pos­i­tive im­pact. This year the grants will be awarded un­der the fol­low­ing cat­e­gories:

Com­mu­nity or Not-For-Profit Grant ($5000): An en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­ject with sig­nif­i­cance to a lo­cal com­mu­nity or not-for-profit group.

School Grant ($5000): An en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­ject be­ing run by a pri­mary or sec­ondary school.

Run­ner-up Grant ($1000): An en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­ject from ei­ther a school or com­mu­nity group mak­ing an en­vi­ron­men­tal im­pact. Ap­pli­ca­tions are open un­til Fri­day, Au­gust 5with the win­ners an­nounced by Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 31. For a grant ap­pli­ca­tion, visit:
