I have been told that if I want to con­nect more with spirit and en­ergy I need to quiet my mind.

When I try to med­i­tate or sit still all th­ese thoughts just keep run­ning around. Is there any­thing you can sug­gest to help?

This is very com­mon with most in­di­vid­u­als as our lives are so busy th­ese days. I found that do­ing the fol­low­ing ex­er­cise just be­fore bed time is re­ally good.

As you close your eyes, pic­ture a black­board in front of you and a piece of chalk in one hand with an eraser in the other.

You start with writ­ing 1 then erase it, 2 then erase it, 3 then erase it, etc. You con­tinue un­til a thought pops into your head. When this hap­pens you start back at one.

Most peo­ple only get to 5 be­fore life in­ter­feres, but by do­ing this for five min­utes a day you will no­tice that you get fur­ther each time.

What you are do­ing is train­ing your mind to stop run­ning in cir­cles and al­lows you to fo­cus more. Se­len­ite.
