Congratulations to all winners and to all those who participated in the championships and monthly medals. A special thanks to those who once again provided a variety of tasty snacks to conclude the events and to June for arriving early and laying the essential foundations.

Next week all returns to normal with a friendly sociable game of stableford, with hit-off at 12:30 P.M. No after-game feast is on offer but we will still offer a ‘Happy Hour’ after the game.

Hit-off at noon.

Sunday the 12th of June began as a cool and brisk morning with light winds. As the morning warmed up so the jackets were peeled off and 24 players were in for a good game of Stableford on the back nine.

Some relatively low scores came in today. The winner for the day and coming in with 21 was Kas Jeffery who loses 2.7 from her handicap. Second place went to her partner in crime, Allen Ball on 20 and he loses a measly 1.6. Third place, on a count back from Terry Smallman, was Marg Dennett coming in with 19, losing .8 from her handicap.

The B-Grade approach on the 10th went to Leigh Hart. The Men’s approach on the 15th went to Domonic Mete. The combined nearest the pin on the 13th hole went to Stuart Aitkenson who now currently holds the golden circle at 1.93m. The A-Grade longest drive was won by Allen Ball and the B-Grade longest drive was won by who else, Adam Smith.

A reminder to all players, sometimes committee members are unable to turn up on the day or are busy doing other things. It would be appreciated if everyone had a turn at putting out the markers. Whether it is one or two people, even if you don’t have a cart, I’m sure you could borrow one. No markers no prizes.

Stableford on the front nine will be played next week with an 8.00am tee off. As always new members and visitors are most welcome.
