Register with BPAY for electronic rates bill
BUNDABERG Regional Council rate notices for the current half-year period, ending December 31, 2016, will be issued late in July and will be due by late August.
Mayor Jack Dempsey said that as the council was faced with postal cost increases, it was a convenient alternative for ratepayers to take advantage of electronic delivery of rate notices.
“BPAY View is an optional service for residents which sees their rate notices delivered digitally through their online banking website,” Cr Dempsey said.
It’s a cost effective and environmentally friendly way to receive your half-yearly rates notice.
“It also offers greater convenience when paying your rates as BPAY View automatically enters the relevant payment details for you,” he said.
“So all ratepayers need to do is log on to their internet banking site and select ‘pay’.”
Cr Dempsey said anyone who registered for BPAY View after July 18 would receive their next rate notice via post but would then be registered for electronic delivery of any subsequent notices.
“And, of course, for any residents who do not wish to receive their rate notices electronically, these will continue to be sent by traditional post,” he said.
“Action is only required by those residents who wish to change to electronic delivery.”
