RSL grant to support veterans

Isis Town and Country - - News | Welcome -

GOVERNMENT funding is essential for advocacy and welfare services for veterans, serving members and their families, war widows and widowers in the electorate.

Isis RSL sub-branch was granted $4565.44 through the Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) grants program and would be used by local ex-service organisations to continue providing vital help and advice to the veteran community.

Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt said our local ex-service organisations are making a real difference in the lives of veterans and ADF personnel by providing essential services from a trusted source.

“This money will help fund salaries for trained advocates and pension staff, essential office supplies, computer equipment, internet access and other administrative needs.

“The government is committed to providing ongoing support for our veterans,” Mr Pitt said.
