Jane The Virgin

Isis Town and Country - - Life | Tv Guide -

Thursday, Eleven, 9.30pm

This decent sitcom has been around for a while, and screened on Foxtel and Netflix, but it’s only recently found a free-to-air home here on Eleven. It’s a shame, as this adapted telenovela about devout young Jane (Gina Rodriguez, left) – as the title suggests, a virgin – who is accidentally artificially inseminated, is better than you think. It doesn’t sound like a premise that would have legs, but it’s lauded by the critics, won a couple of Golden Globes and has been renewed for a third season, so it must be doing something right. In tonight’s episode, Jane has to decide between a stable teaching job and an exciting internship writing for a telenovela.
