Father’s Day outing for APSL
IN THE lead-up to Father’s Day, 21 members of the Childers Branch of the APSL visited their friends at the Gin Gin Social club for their annual Father’s Day trip.
Organiser Maurie Styles said all the members had a great day and were greeted by 30 members of the host club.
“On arrival a nice morning tea was provided and then we went our different ways with some playing indoor bowls, Scrabble and different card games,” Mr Styles said.
Guests were treated to a delicious two-course lunch followed by a presentation by a guest speaker from Queensland Rail.
The members had a great day catching up with friends and the day was finished off with a mini cent sale and afternoon tea before they headed back to Childers.
“Many of our members visited the town centre for a spot of shopping and a visit to the gallery,” Mr Styles said.
The social outings are a great way for residents to remain active and a chance to socialise.
