Celebration of Seniors Week

Isis Town and Country - - News -

THE week for our seniors was celebrated around the region with many communities hosting social events and gathering.

The Gin Gin RSL welcomed in Seniors Week by opening its doors to community groups and organisations to showcase their services for seniors.

Locals gathered to enjoy social activities, morning tea and educational displays from the Gin Gin library and Rural Fire service.

On offer, visitors had the opportunity to sit for the local pharmacist for a blood pressure check.

Community groups such as Gin Gin radio, Men’s Shed and the QCWA encouraged visitors to be part of a great volunteer organisation with details and information on becoming a member.

The Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre offers a wide range of support services and a central hub to provide support for staff, volunteers and the local community.

The Neighbourhood Centre aims to empower the community, provide quality, relevant and current information, referral and guidance.
