$500 boost for Childers SES

Isis Town and Country - - NEWS -

CHILDERS SES will be able to grease its wheels and buy up important new equipment with the help of a donation from the Buxton Friendship Association.

BFA president Garry Middling and committee member Jim Baron joined SES team members on Tuesday to present the cheque, which was accepted by Deputy Local Controller Aaron Frazer.

“They do a fantastic job,” Mr Baron said of the SES.

“They were here during the floods of course, and they’ve helped us out enormously with parking at our annual Classic Car and Motorcycle Festival.”

“The donation will help us buy equipment like trailers, and training tools, so we can be more self-sufficient,” Mr Frazer said.

“It’s much appreciated – we rely heavily on donations.”

The SES will be at the Buxton Classic Car and Motorcycle Festival on October 16.

For details call Jim Baron on 0427 786 028.
