Imaginations climb Terry’s treehouse
ASK a group of 10-year-olds what would be on the 91st floor of their dream treehouse and you get some pretty great answers.
“Ice cream,” said Madison Vacer.
“A footy field,” said Zac Blanch, holding his illustration proudly.
Local primary schools had the chance to soak up the weird and wonderful world of Terry Denton with the opening of his exhibition, the Treehouse, at Childers Art Space, and year four at Childers State School were the first to get a chance to try their hand at drawing on Monday.
Bundaberg Regional Council public programs officer Rebecca Maclean said Denton’s sense of silliness were very good at getting all children – but particularly boys – into reading.
