Isis Town and Country - - NEWS -

A GLADSTONE man has appeared in court after he stole a street sign from Gin Gin in 2012. The police dropped by the house of Jack Crouch where officers found an orange traffic cone and an obviously out-of-place street sign, Jacks Road. “He can’t remember when he exactly stole it,” police prosecutor Barry Stevens told Gladstone Magistrates Court after the 20-year-old electrician pleaded guilty to stealing the sign and an orange traffic cone. Police found the items when searching his Kin Kora house on August 15, Crouch telling officers he stole the sign around 2012. Magistrate Melanie Ho placed Crouch on a four-month good behaviour bond with $300 own recognisance. A conviction was not recorded.
