Po­lice warn driv­ers to check car num­ber plates

IT’S time to check your num­ber plate and pay some at­ten­tion to how it may be trav­el­ling.

You may have a reg­is­tered per­son­alised plate to ac­ces­sorise your ve­hi­cle or en­joy sim­plic­ity with a stan­dard is­sue reg­is­tered plate.

All front and rear num­ber plates need to be checked, en­sure they are se­cure and do not fall off and that they are not an easy tar­get for thieves.

Ve­hi­cle own­ers are en­cour­aged to visit their lo­cal auto or ware­house re­tail­ers to pur­chase anti-theft lock­ing nuts or num­ber plate screws.
