Get drawing with Terry Denton at CHARTS
THE WHIMSY of the popular children’s series Many Story Treehouse, created by author Andy Griffiths and illustrator Terry Denton, will leap from the pages of the popular book series when Denton hits the Childers Arts Space for a visit this Saturday.
“Terry Denton will be taking over the Childers Arts Space and the Childers branch of Bundaberg Regional Libraries with free activities for kids of all ages running from 9am to noon,” Bundaberg Regional Council community and cultural services spokeswoman Judy Peters said.
“The Treehouse books are exceptionally popular with younger readers. Bringing this exhibition, and one of its creators, Terry Denton, to Bundaberg is a wonderful way to continue to highlight the importance of reading to our region’s younger residents.”
Drawing and activity stations will be set up for kids of all ages and Terry Denton will be on hand to join in.
The arty morning in Childers will follow an evening with Denton at the Shalom Performing Arts Centre tomorrow night.
The special event, Terry Denton Live, is set to serve as “a fitting conclusion” to the hugely popular Treehouse exhibition which is showing at the Childers Arts Space until October 23.
Terry will be on stage drawing throughout the evening and available to sign copies of his best-selling books.
