Although chef-turned-farmer Matthew Evans (left) is not out to turn anyone vegetarian with this series, that may well be a side effect, once viewers realise the impact meateating has, and the effort it takes to eat meat ethically and sustainably. The idea here is to make people consider where their food really comes from, and first in his sights is chicken. He looks at the various labels – organic, free range and so on – to see what they really mean, visits chicken farms to check out the conditions and conducts an experiment with chicken burgers. Be prepared to come away from this with a weighty conscience.
