Movie night un­der the stars in Gin Gin

AFTER the first hugely suc­cess­ful free com­mu­nity movie night in Bund­aberg, get ready to roll out your pic­nic blan­ket and en­joy the re­gion’s next movie un­der the stars at the Gin Gin Show grounds on Fri­day, October 28.

Com­mu­nity and Cul­tural Ser­vices port­fo­lio spokesper­son Cr Judy Peters said the free fam­ily event would fea­ture a screen­ing of pop­u­lar movie Home.

“This is a ter­rific op­por­tu­nity to have a qual­ity evening out with the fam­ily en­joy­ing a movie and a bite to eat in the great out­doors,” Cr Peters said.

“The Gin Gin SES will be cook­ing a bar­be­cue din­ner with drinks, ice cream and cof­fee also avail­able from 6pm be­fore the movie starts at 7pm.

"Bring along your pic­nic blan­ket and set­tle in for an en­joy­able evening."

Mayor Jack Dempsey said the coun­cil was thrilled to an­nounce that Tel­stra Stores Bund­aberg had sponsored the movie night and an up­com­ing movie night in Childers.

"The out­door movie night is a won­der­ful com­mu­nity ini­tia­tive and now, thanks to this spon­sor­ship sup­port, we are able to of­fer the next two movie nights at no cost to coun­cil,” he said.

The Childers movie night will be held in Apex Tramway Park in Cres­cent Street on Fri­day, Novem­ber 25.

Tel­stra rep­re­sen­ta­tives will at­tend each movie night with free give aways.
