Movie night under the stars in Gin Gin
AFTER the first hugely successful free community movie night in Bundaberg, get ready to roll out your picnic blanket and enjoy the region’s next movie under the stars at the Gin Gin Show grounds on Friday, October 28.
Community and Cultural Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said the free family event would feature a screening of popular movie Home.
“This is a terrific opportunity to have a quality evening out with the family enjoying a movie and a bite to eat in the great outdoors,” Cr Peters said.
“The Gin Gin SES will be cooking a barbecue dinner with drinks, ice cream and coffee also available from 6pm before the movie starts at 7pm.
"Bring along your picnic blanket and settle in for an enjoyable evening."
Mayor Jack Dempsey said the council was thrilled to announce that Telstra Stores Bundaberg had sponsored the movie night and an upcoming movie night in Childers.
"The outdoor movie night is a wonderful community initiative and now, thanks to this sponsorship support, we are able to offer the next two movie nights at no cost to council,” he said.
The Childers movie night will be held in Apex Tramway Park in Crescent Street on Friday, November 25.
Telstra representatives will attend each movie night with free give aways.
