Millions of tourists Down Under

Isis Town and Country - - News -

AUSTRALIA welcomed more than eight million international tourists over the last 12 months according to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Member for Hinkler and Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Keith Pitt said this is the first time Australia has broken the eight million visitor mark, which is great news for Hinkler.

“The more international tourists we have coming to Australia, the more we can try and get to visit Hinkler, I am focused on attracting more visitors to our beautiful region to grow our tourism industry and support local businesses,” Mr Pitt said.

“Turtle season has just kicked off in Bundaberg, which makes it a perfect time for tourists to visit our region.

“This rapid rise has come on the back of strong Coalition government support for tourism.

“The tourism industry is growing under the Coalition.”

KEEN: Visitors are flocking here.
