Dads Read aims to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of fathers and families reading with their children, particularly in their early developmental years.

Reading with your children not only helps them to develop a love of reading, but also strengthens their literacy skills, models positive reading behaviour and builds children’s self-esteem around reading which is a fundamental life skill.

Make reading fun and read stories with enthusiasm, change voices for different characters and alter the volume of your voice to build up the excitement.

For further information phone the Childers library 41304650.
