Heather Ewart’s (right) foray into country towns and regional communities to meet the people who call the place home was an unexpected delight when it appeared in last summer’s schedule. With subjects often coping with isolation and hardships, it was inspiring and life-affirming stuff. Tonight, Ewart returns for a second season of visiting some of the country’s lesser lights. Here, she heads to the tiny South Australian town of Mundulla, which is about to celebrate its Moot Yang Gunya Festival. The annual event is the biggest deal in town and inspires plenty of friendly rivalry, especially between 81-year-old stalwart Vida and upstart 15-year-old Amy.
