PROUD of his sons achievements, Jim Savage took to social media last Sunday morning to inform his son’s supporters of Austin’s win.

Jim Savage said Austin’s first match win was by technical knock-out (TKO) last Friday night.

“Saturday Austin boxed masterfully to beat a tough young competitor from Townsville,” he said.

The win gives Austin the State 42kg schoolboy title to go along with his National 40kg title.

Austin is passionate about boxing and works hard training and in preparation for competition.

For the young boxer, it neatly finishes off his best year of competition to date.

Jim would like to thank everyone in Childers for their kind words and support shown to Austin and the encouragement.

Boxing Queensland Inc is helping to develop Queensland boxing into a high profile sport that will help many young men and women achieve their goals.
