Rooftop molotov cocktail
A JOONDALUP man was allegedly carrying a molotov cocktail while lying on the roof of the Clarkson police station roof after an argument with officers hours earlier on a recent Sunday.
Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said the accused (28) went the station about 2am on May 14, but was told to return during business hours. The man is then said to have returned just before 11pm that night, when police discovered him on the roof.
“Due to him smelling of gasoline, DFES were called and found a molotov cocktail on the roof,” he said. He said the accused also had a knife. Investigators charged him with making or possessing an explosive under suspicious circumstances.
