Rooftop molo­tov cock­tail

A JOON­DALUP man was al­legedly car­ry­ing a molo­tov cock­tail while ly­ing on the roof of the Clark­son po­lice sta­tion roof af­ter an ar­gu­ment with of­fi­cers hours ear­lier on a re­cent Sun­day.

Act­ing Se­nior Sergeant Stu­art Fair­lie said the ac­cused (28) went the sta­tion about 2am on May 14, but was told to re­turn dur­ing busi­ness hours. The man is then said to have re­turned just be­fore 11pm that night, when po­lice dis­cov­ered him on the roof.

“Due to him smelling of gaso­line, DFES were called and found a molo­tov cock­tail on the roof,” he said. He said the ac­cused also had a knife. In­ves­ti­ga­tors charged him with mak­ing or pos­sess­ing an ex­plo­sive un­der sus­pi­cious cir­cum­stances.
