Long ser­vice hon­oured

A MADELEY scout leader and Royal Show stew­ard from Kings­ley were among 104 vol­un­teers recog­nised at the WA Vol­un­teer Ser­vice Awards this month.

Matthew Sto­bie-Ty­ack has vol­un­teered at Scouts WA for 25 years, work­ing with chil­dren aged 11 to 14 as a scout leader and an as­sis­tant scout leader.

He has been a scout leader at Gool­le­lal Green­wood Scout Group since 2014, and be­fore that worked with the chil­dren at Wem­b­ley Downs Scout Group.

Judy Hebiton started vol­un­teer­ing with the Royal Agri­cul­tural So­ci­ety of WA (RASWA) in 1955.

She be­gan stew­ard­ing in the cat­tle and sheep sec­tion and was the chief stew­ard for trade cat­tle for 25 years.

She also held the role of cat­tle in­spec­tor for com­pe­ti­tion, along with co-or­di­nat­ing the ju­nior farm­ers.

The WA Vol­un­teer Ser­vice Awards recog­nise peo­ple who have pro­vided 25 or more years of ser­vice to one or­gan­i­sa­tion.
