Patient care top priority

Joondalup Times - - STREET WATCH -

HOCKING IGA has been transformed into a modern medical centre.

East Road Family Medical Centre opened earlier this year and offers a fully equipped treatment room facility with nurse support and on-site pathology and pharmacy services.

Dr Arya Basu is a UKtrained GP with 15 years experience, with the past seven years spent working in Australia, while Dr Dumidu Gammanpila has more than 20 years experience and completed his training in England.

Practice manager Padma Dharmaratna said patient care was their top priority.

“Our vision for the centre is a one-stop shop for the patients,” she said.

“We are hoping to bring in lots of services, such as allied health practitioners, visiting consultants and affordable health care for the community.

“Our mission is to provide our patients with quality care for an affordable price without any compromise.”
