PERTH BRAIN CENTRE

Joondalup Times - - HEALTHY LIVING -

PERTH Brain Centre is offering a new approach to chronic pain.

While many Australians suffer from chronic pain, not everyone has access to effective treatment.

Chronic pain can be caused by problems like arthritis or an injury, but can also have no obvious cause.

“However, advances in science over the past decade have led experts to understand that chronic pain can be caused by unhelpful changes in the brain, known as maladaptive plasticity,” Perth Brain Centre clinical director Daniel Lane said.

For more information on how brain-based therapies can help you, call the Centre on 6500 3277 or visit www. perthbraincentre.com.au.
