SWIMMERS are set to make a splash at the annual Dolphin Olympics in Wanneroo this weekend.
More than 80 swimmers from Wanneroo Aquamotion’s Dolphin Program for people with special needs will take part in the annual competition on Sunday.
Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said it would be a great event.
“I love going along to the Dolphin Olympics – it is so lovely to see our swimmers in the water having fun and enjoying themselves,” she said.
“Community events like these are important in celebrating the diversity of those living within our City and the Dolphin Olympics are always an event with lots of smiles and laughter.”
The program has been running for about 20 years and has more than 180 children and adult students.
The event starts at 9.30am.
