A 78-YEAR-old female crosswalk attendant suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in Kallaroo last week. The crash occurred on Dampier Avenue about 3.40pm on Thursday, when a blue Toyota Corolla sedan lost control near the intersection of Alicia Street, hitting the attendant and several poles. The woman was seriously injured and taken to Royal Perth Hospital, where she is in a stable condition. The 21-year-old male driver sustained minor injuries. Police are investigating the circumstances leading up the incident to determine if alcohol and speed were factors.
