Netball clubrooms to cost nearly $2.8m

Councillor Domenic Zappa said that an amendment to the recommendation sought delivery of the toilets “ahead of time”.

“The City has been fortunate to receive a $500,000 contribution from State Government,” he said.

“The provision of new and improved toilets is critical for all members.”

Elected members unanimously supported the amendment and the substantive recommendation.

The plan by Site Architecture includes offices, a multipurpose room, change rooms, a first aid room, commercial kitchen and meeting rooms.

The project was originally expected to cost $2.7 million, but the report advised that the final concept plan resulted in an $88,100 increase in the estimated cost.

The new netball clubrooms will include a first aid room.
