Teen boys charged for robbing girl

Joondalup Times - - NEWS -

TWO teenaged boys from Beechboro have been charged with robbing a 16-year-old girl of her gold chain in Girrawheen last month.

Police said the boys rode a motorcycle next to the girl as she walked along Templeton Crescent and threatened to punch her if she did not give them the chain.

One of the boys, aged 15, got off the motorbike and said “give me that chain or I’m going to punch you”. He then undid the clasp of the chain. He was detained in Koondoola soon after.

Police found the gold chain and other items believed to be stolen, including an iPod and a wallet containing $200.

He was charged with aggravated robbery.

The other boy, a 16year-old who was allegedly riding the motorcycle, was also charged with aggravated robbery.
