Fatal crash

Joondalup Times - - CRIME WATCH -

POLICE are still seeking witnesses to a crash that injured a Landsdale man and killed two women in WA’s Midwest earlier this month.

The crash happened on the Brand Highway in Bookara, 50km south of Geraldton, about 2.50pm on August 2.

Police spokesman Adam Brouwer said a silver Toyota Camry sedan travelling north crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a white Toyota LandCruiser that was towing a trailer.

“The driver of the Camry, a 53-year-old man from Landsdale, was taken to Geraldton Hospital in a critical condition,” he said.

“The two female passengers from the Camry, aged 54 and 59, died at the scene.

“The driver of the LandCruiser, a 42-year-old man from Carine, was also conveyed to the Geraldton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw either vehicle in Geraldton or Dongara can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
