Wan­neroo Sec­ondary Col­lege hosts In­no­va­tion Fair for 350 lo­cal pri­mary school stu­dents.

YEAR 10 stu­dents at Wan­neroo Sec­ondary Col­lege or­gan­ised and ran an In­no­va­tion Fair for 350 lo­cal pri­mary school stu­dents dur­ing Na­tional Sci­ence Week.

Ac­tiv­i­ties in­cluded dis­sec­tions, foren­sic sci­ence, a life­size op­er­a­tion game, vir­tual re­al­ity, pres­surised gas-pow­ered F1 rac­ing cars, drones, sub­marines, cod­ing, maths ac­tiv­i­ties and dry ice ex­per­i­ments.

This was the school’s third an­nual event but the first or­gan­ised and run by the Year 10 stu­dents.

Wan­neroo Sec­ondary Col­lege was one of 365 schools awarded a Na­tional Sci­ence Week schools grant in 2018.
