KINROSS College students recently had an insight into professional art.

The school won a submission to be involved with the artist-in-residence project run by the City of Joondalup.

Visiting artist Daniela Dlugocz spent a day with a small group of Year 9 students to create an Armistice Day piece of art.

Principal Rod Buckenara, who has a background and interest in art, was also able to work on a separate piece themed around ‘Remembrance’.

He said it was an “excellent opportunity for these committed and talented art students”.

Once completed, the artwork will be collected for exhibiting at the City’s libraries, as well as at the Remembrance Day service on November 11 at Central Park.
