Aden passionate about game
BASKETBALL means more to Aden Moulten than simply putting a ball through a hoop.
It’s also a form of therapy for the 13-year-old Currambine resident when he’s feeling down.
And he wants others to see how basketball and sport in general can make a significant difference to mental health.
“If I’m feeling down I head down to the basketball club to spend time with people who share my passion,” he said.
“I get some shots in and it reminds me of all of my goals.
“If you have the love for the game, that is what will make you happy.
“Find a club that will support you and lift your spirits.”
Aden was full of praise for the club culture at the Stirling Senators, where he plays in the WABL competition, saying “I really feel that I am part of something great”.
He bases his game around Perth Wildcats captain Damian Martin both in attitude and game style.
“My dream is to hold the values that Damian Martin has, he is a fantastic role model,” he said.
“He always put in the work and he treats everyone as equals. “He is also driven to win.” He in a nominee in the Community Newspaper Group’s Local Sports Stars awards.
