TWO Sor­rento Surf Life Sav­ing mem­bers are cel­e­brat­ing hav­ing achieved their Surf Res­cue Cer­tifi­cate, which means they can now take part in beach pa­trols.

Glenn Whe­lan and Max Le­tizia are part of the Dol­phin Pro­gram, which was cre­ated by mem­bers of the club who have fam­ily mem­bers with a dis­abil­ity.

“It pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity to join a group within the surf club with an em­pha­sis on fun while main­tain­ing strong club feel­ings and loy­alty,” club ad­min­is­tra­tion man­ager Jess Bun­ford said.

“The club is an in­clu­sive or­gan­i­sa­tion and is com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing a safe en­vi­ron­ment for all who choose to par­tic­i­pate in surf life­sav­ing ac­tiv­i­ties.”
