Fund­ing for camp­ground

UP­GRADES to the camp­ground at Yanchep National Park will re­ceive $261,500 in Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment fund­ing to boost tourism in the re­gion.

The fund­ing is a part­ner­ship be­tween the Fed­eral and State gov­ern­ments as part of the national $43 mil­lion Tourism De­mand Driver In­fra­struc­ture pro­gram.

A trial camp­ground was es­tab­lished there in 2016, pro­vid­ing 20 sites, and the camp­ground be­came per­ma­nent after the one-year trial.

The Fed­eral fund­ing, in con­junc­tion with State fund­ing, will go to­wards con­struc­tion of an ablu­tions block, road ac­cess, park­ing ar­eas, paths, sig­nage, a bar­be­cue shel­ter and camp­site in­fra­struc­ture.

Yanchep National Park camp­grounds are to be up­graded with Fed­eral money:
