Funding for campground
UPGRADES to the campground at Yanchep National Park will receive $261,500 in Federal Government funding to boost tourism in the region.
The funding is a partnership between the Federal and State governments as part of the national $43 million Tourism Demand Driver Infrastructure program.
A trial campground was established there in 2016, providing 20 sites, and the campground became permanent after the one-year trial.
The Federal funding, in conjunction with State funding, will go towards construction of an ablutions block, road access, parking areas, paths, signage, a barbecue shelter and campsite infrastructure.
Yanchep National Park campgrounds are to be upgraded with Federal money:
Great news and I look forward to camping there. –Kate Magnay
May have to go and see how different it is from when it first opened. –Lee Calder
They should have just left Club Capricorn open and upgraded that instead. It was a perfect location on the beach. –Tina Wood
I agree. Nothing will come close to Club Capricorn for camping. –Tina Wood
