Man fac­ing theft and drugs charges

A BANKSIA Grove man has been charged as part of an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into the on­line pur­chase of more than $140,000 of goods bought with stolen credit card in­for­ma­tion.

Po­lice are look­ing into the pos­si­bil­ity others were in­volved.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors raided the ac­cused’s home on January 8, al­leg­ing he had un­law­fully ob­tained drones, com­puter tablets, mo­bile phone and gift cards. Of­fi­cers also al­lege he pos­sessed drugs.

Po­lice were tipped off by in­for­ma­tion re­ceived from the Aus­tralian Cy­ber­crime On­line Re­port­ing Net­work.

They are in­ves­ti­gat­ing about 100 sale or­ders.

The 39-year-old man was charged with 10 stolen prop­erty of­fences, metham­phetamine pos­ses­sion, pos­ses­sion of a cannabis plant and pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia.

He is due in Joon­dalup Mag­is­trates Court on Fe­bru­ary 5.
