Rob­bery charges

JOON­DALUP de­tec­tives have charged a man and a boy af­ter an armed rob­bery at a north­ern sub­urbs shop­ping cen­tre last Fri­day.

Po­lice said a group of youths walked into a cloth­ing shop at a Joon­dalup shop­ping cen­tre just af­ter noon.

They al­legedly took sev­eral items of cloth­ing and when ap­proached by a staff mem­ber, the 15-year-old pro­duced a knife and made threats to­wards her.

They left the store, tak­ing the cloth­ing with them.

The staff mem­ber had her clothes sliced by the knife as the youths left.

A 21-year-old man and 15-year-old boy, both from Dud­ley Park, have been charged with ag­gra­vated armed rob­bery.

De­tec­tives are still in­ves­ti­gat­ing and try­ing to de­ter­mine the iden­tity of a third boy who was in­volved who they be­lieve was be­tween 14 and 16 years old. Call Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 000.
