Playground grant for school

Joondalup Weekender - - News -

A NATURE playground at North Woodvale Primary School will keep students active while developing their imagination and creativity.

Premier Mark McGowan, Education Minister Sue Ellery and Kingsley MLA Jessica Stojkovski were at the school on Monday as part of the State Government’s Community Cabinet events in Kingsley and Balcatta to announce $25,000 for the development of the playground.

The project will complement the school’s ‘play pod’ where students are encouraged to use their imagination and create things.

Mrs Stojkovski said she met with the school’s sustainability committee and P&C about how it could give students an opportunity to “develop critical skills in a safe environment”.

“The State Government’s investment will help bring their plans for a nature playground to life,” she said.
